As is often the case with professionals in other areas of the healing arts, many of us become doulas because of our love for birth and our strong desire to support other women during this transformative process. We are advocates as well as activists. We are passionate and want to change the face of birth in our society by empowering women to demand better care for healthier outcomes of moms and babies.
