Support For Fathers During Pregnancy and Birth – Fathers To Be

I met Patrick Houser in 2008 when the Central Texas Birth Network hosted the screening of “Orgasmic Birth“. Patrick is one of the founders of Fathers To Be, a UK-based organization whose sole purpose is to provide support to men as they enter parenthood.

As birth professionals, many are not sure how to adequately support fathers during while their partners are pregnant and during childbirth. Fathers To Be offers professionals valuable resources as well by teaching us where men are in this transitional process and helping us understand what we can do to support new dads.

Patrick has written “The Fathers To Be Handbook”, a guide that is helpful for new fathers and birth professionals.
