Dear Savvy Doula,

I am gearing up to start some online community building for birth professionals, and last week I was inspired. I hope that the resources and tips that I’ve shared so far has been of help to many of you, and I also hope that you will help me spread the word to your colleagues that Savvy Doula is here. I feel the need to expand the breadth of knowledge of running a small birth business, and the only way I see this happening is through combined brainpower.

So, I would like to invite guest authors to submit stories and articles to Savvy Doula. Here is a way for you to share your successes as a small business owner. We want to know about:

  • A valuable resource you’ve been using and how it’s helped you
  • Great sources for birth supplies, videos, and other products that help you do your job
  • Multiple income streams – how you’ve expanded your business by offering a new service. What is your service, how has it helped your business, what training did you need to obtain, how it utilizes your unique skills.
  • An awesome online course you took and what you learned
  • Bootstrapping efforts made – how you grew your business on a shoestring budget and the creativity that was required to do it

I could go on and on. Basically, if you have an idea, and you like to write, tell me about it. You’ll be listed as the author and the attribution made at the end of the article will point back to your website, giving you more opportunities for traffic to your own site.

If you have something to share but the thought of writing freaks you out, send me an email and your thoughts, and I’ll write about you in an upcoming blog post and include a link to your site.

My mission is to build momentum about why we are all here, and I want us all to get excited about what all of us are doing to support women in birth. I really want to celebrate all of us, and I encourage you to share your light with the rest of us.

I want to hear from you!

With great appreciation for the important work you do,

Darlene
